Title: Dizziness
Post by: Yunny on November 23, 2020, 04:30:30 PM
Hi everyone, I’m a newbie and would like some advice please.  I’m 49 and my periods are regular, every 3 weeks ish, however, am I at the start of menopause as last week as I got up from lying down, the room seemed to be swaying and I’ve never experienced this before, this dizzy feeling comes and goes, especially when I’ve been lying down.  During the night I do feel very hot and have to push the duvet of, this not such a big problem yet..... it’s the dizziness. Do I need to go to see a doctor, will this dizziness pass? I just need some reassurance I suppose.😐

It can be a meno symptom but it can also be an inner ear problem. I'd be inclined to see your gp to rule out the latter.

I think its worth getting checked out. I sometimes get dizzy and when it becomes frequent it is an indicator of low iron (for me) so it may be worth asking for a blood test just to check it out.
