Title: norethisterone - still bleeding
Post by: pricey on September 29, 2020, 06:55:21 AM
Morning ladies,

This is the start of day 5 on norethisterone 5mg 3x a day and I'm still bleeding (albeit very lightly). I have a telephone appointment with my GP later and I'm not sure how to proceed. It's all complicated due to being in isolation until next week as a family member tested positive for Covid. I'm dreading the thought of being out of tablets in 5-6 days and then getting another bleed. I feel wiped out as it is. (I'm taking iron).
I'm hoping this upheaval is down to me reducing and subsequently stopping HRT. Apart from the excessive and prolonged bleeding I'm coping ok. So much for hoping I'd be further along in menopause and may bleed less! Are there any alternatives to norethisterone to get me back on track? Presumably I'll be sent for a scan etc when i can leave the house. I'm really worn down with all this!
