Title: Grrrrrrr everything
Post by: KaraShannon on September 21, 2020, 04:56:39 PM
 >:(

Hi all

I don't get these days often, but today I'm fuming, about everything  ;D  Does anyone else get days like this?

I think part of the problem is I'm overwhelmed with stuff to do and not enough time to get it all done.  I've been working extra hard, but I have to right now, a lot of deadlines.  Plus we've had a bit of family drama, not me directly, but I've been dealing with it.

Today my doctor's surgery typed out an explanation about how I cannot request a medication review using the prescription request form, even though there was space for notes and it was medication related and if you call them you can literally stay in a queue for an hour.  I just felt the time it took to type out that explanation to me could have been spent just finding me an appointment time.  So I will have to call the surgery.  Couldn't call them today as no time while working, not when the queue will take up to an hour.

But it's everything it's not just that, someone in a queue today was shouting down my ear and standing much too close, bumping into me, while I was trying to get a ticket from a ticket kiosk.  I can't believe some people.  That bugged me, they just didn't want to wait in the queue it seemed.  ;D

And it's already 6pm and still a ton of work to do, the days are going so fast.

Ok, I've had my moan.

Anyone else had days like this recently?  I'm no better now, I'm sat here fuming, but no idea what about at the moment.  ;D

Oh, and it was supposed to be cooler today  >:(

 ;D

(I've just remembered I'm getting over suspected shingles, maybe should be going easier on myself)

I rarely request an annual review, I wait for the Surgery to contact me.  I was supposed to have a blood test re statins in Feb. but it was put off and flagged again 3 weeks ago.  So I had the blood test, Pharmacist was supposed to ring me last Wed  :-\: ah well, when they refuse my next statins script it gives me an excuse to kick off  ;D

I always wished that I could growl like a dog  ::).  As for people in my space, it's never been good to get in my way ........ I haven't kicked.  Yet  :D

Is the family drama finished or are you able to delegate?

Family drama is not requiring much from me at the moment but it has the potential to flare up again.

I couldn't believe the person today, so close, I couldn't hear what the ticket person was saying because of this person behind me.

The medication review was for my HRT, the doctor that put me on it went on maternity leave, then we had lock down, but she did ask me to review with someone in a month, it's been a lot longer.  I've felt better on it, but still some pelvic floor issues, although they come and go and so I was thinking a review would be a good idea.  Still, there are worse things in the world.  I'm a bit calmer now, lol.  It might be the HRT, the packet for this patch was torn but I used it anyway, but I've been flushed and irritable all day and it's not stuck on very well.  I'll put another on, maybe that's the problem.

Yes CLKD, I'd love to be able to growl properly like a dog at the moment  ;D

Mine didn't growl often but it was deep, from the belly.  Quiet and grew  :o  :scottie:

Had you considered seeing a physic that specialises in pelvic floor health?

Ohh, I often growl. 😆 I do.
And, I often have days like your KaraShannon.
Days where everything and everyone get on my nerves.
I had one the other day, most of the day spent growling! 😆😂

Here's the story about pelvic issues.  I went to my doctor about 3 years ago because (sorry for TMI) sometimes I noticed I leaked gas  :o, I mean, of all the things.  Not all the time.  There was no urge or warning and only minimal but still!  ;D  The doctor asked if it was loud or embarassing and I said it's much too slight for either at the moment, but I'm aware of it and wouldn't like it to get worse.  The doctor seemed to rubbish the whole thing.

Well now I think I have some mild prolapse symptoms, but it comes and goes depending on where in my cycle, which I'm still having and more regular since the HRT was started.  I read about vagifem on here and requested it and was told I didn't need it.  I requested again during lockdown and it was just supplied without question.  I've noticed on the vagifem there's more of an improvement.  Maybe I should give it more time.  While I don't have it all the time, I can't predict it.

I've never had any help when mentioning to the doctors so no idea who to consult.  I'm open to all suggestions  :-)

GPs seem to be easily able to dismiss patient's queries and worries  >:(

No medical practitioner should tell a lady that she doesn't require vaginal atrophy treatment.  At least lock down gave you one positive  ::).  Keep up with the applications.

Yes, will see if that makes a difference.

Meanwhile it seems tonight the patch I was wearing wasn't properly stuck on.  I think I might have been having a hot flush all evening and I have never really had any, but even now I'm visibly flushed, face is burning and I don't think the weather is that hot now.  So perhaps it was  a problem with that patch.

Or having the vagifem every other day is too much.  It might be that, it's the only change I've made recently, increased the dose from twice a week to every other day.

Just for interest, I've still got that irritability, not quite as bad but think it's one of 2 things.

I've either got some kind of virus, as I have what looks like shingles.  Or I'm getting that tinnitus thing that I had before when I used vagifem.  I've got low level tinnitus going on and I've recently increased vagifem.

Going to lower dose of that and see if peace is restored.   ;D

Shingles should always be diagnosed, a pharmacist will know.  Sadly the chance of easing symptoms is over - within 72 hours is the vital time to begin treatment. Herpes Zosta follows a nerve route ............ causing a rash and stinging sensation which can last for months.

Is tinnitus mentioned in the leaflet with the 'vagifem'?  It's such a small amount, locally ........ maybe alter to 'ovestin'?

Thanks CLKD

I've stopped the vagifem for 2 days and the tinnitus and irritability has gone.  Again, I can't be sure it's that, but it seems linked.  I'll check the info tomorrow and try and get that review with the doctor.  I was coping on less vagifem, so I will just use it twice a week until I can get a doctor's appointment.

Interesting that the tinnitus has eased.  Whatever you do, don't stop the VA treatment!!!

I am aware of background noises all the while, never associated with hormones.  Sometimes I ask DH if he can hear my ears buzzing  :D

I've got a bit of time on Tuesday, I'll see if I can arrange a consult with the doctor.  I'm feeling fine since stopping the vagifem, and I really wasn't before.  I clearly can't take it every other day.  I will take 2 - 3 times a week until I get an appointment with the doctor.  It's not really solving my issues anyway.  I thought it was, but it comes and goes.  Maybe there's something else that will work better.  Plus my hair has thinned quite a bit.  No one else would notice yet, but my hair ties just slip off now, they never would before.  Life!   ;D
