Lots of ideas on Bargain Hunt today - making memory boxes, playing music etc.. Stimulating people to open up. One lady couldn't talk much but was able to do up a vacuum flask - another was shown a Box Brownie camera which brought back the memory that her husband had been in the Navy and took his camera everywhere.
Apparently Mum engages with Staff ........... although she told me years ago that she 'wanted to get Alzeheimers because people would make a fuss of her'. >:(
Her memory tests over the last 18 months have shown on evidence of dementia.
