Title: Collagen
Post by: Cassie on September 09, 2020, 10:14:34 AM
Who takes collagen and if so, which one, do you find it good for skin, hair and creaky joints or all of the above? It seems to be very much the thing to take @ the moment, just wondering if its worth it and how long one will take to start glowing.  ;)

hi Cassie  :)
I've been using Collagen + Peptigen Powder daily for about 3 months now, and I must admit it seems to have a good effect on my creaking joints, which is something I suffered with pre menopause.
Can't say if it's improved my hair or skin (the only glow I get is from a hot flush  ::)) but certainly hasn't made things worse, and the dry patches and rosacea I did have recently on my face have gone, but I can't say if this is due to the HRT or Collagen in all honesty, but having given it a go I will be continuing with it.
I did a bit of research, some Collagen products cost £££ so I looked at cost, contents and reviews before buying, I  don't think I can add a link to the website as it's selling a product, but the best one I've found is from a company called So Body Co - they often run special offers so I tend to buy then, and a pack lasts 30 days. Only problem is as it's a powder you have to mix it with liquid, and it does have a slight fishy taste (as derived from Marine Collagen) but in Coffee I barely notice it.
hope this helps

Hi, I take the so body collagen, it has helped to strengthen my nails and I maybe just imagining this, but if I forget to take it, I think my joints/muscles ache a bit more.
I mix mine into a smoothy or strawberry milkshake and don’t notice any taste. I could not manage it just in water
