Title: Long cycle
Post by: Tinacros on June 30, 2020, 07:51:51 PM
Hi
I've been given the ok from my GP to do a long cycle. I've just gone onto evorel 25 patch. I'm 5 years post meno and have been on sequential and conti hrt. I now will take utrogestan for a bleed but any ideas what is a good cycle. Don't get on to well with utrogestan 😊... towards the end of being on sequi I stopped bleeding which the doc said was ok. Any advice will be helpful 👍

Hi
I've been on long cycle for a year - Provera every three months. I'm under consultant care and have a scan ever year.
Recently though my natural cycle has kicked back in and I'm bleeding monthly which is a pain.

Hi Tinacros - I do a 6 week cycle instead of the usual 4 weeks. Any longer and the bleed gets a bit more and as I'm in my 60's I don't enjoy that. Local GP happy with what I do and says not necessary to bleed every month. Depends on oestrogen dose and how your womb reacts. Not bleeding on sequi monthly regime is a good sign that lengthening the cycle might work.
