Niel and Katiaya have split
I recognise two contestants this year: James Cracknel and Anika ..........
>yawn<
-
I agree poor "celebrities" again this year, but I will watch it. I think the new judge is also controversial ::)
-
I know 5 this year.
-
You obviously have different tele where you live :D
Oti's sister? How will that work :-\
-
I know 5 this year.
I know more this year than last year.
-
Is that about Strictly or ............ :whist:
-
I know 5 this year.
I know more this year than last year.
I don't know any and I aim to keep it that way. ;D
-
:D
-
You obviously have different tele where you live :D
Oti's sister? How will that work :-\
Mike Bushell is on BBC breakfast
Alex Scott and David James - you won't know if you don't watch football. :)
-
I worked for a Solicitor called James David :D
-
Strictly will keep Saturday Night TV ratings going until Christmas. The celebrities will keep our interest even if we are not sure who they are. Regardless of their ability the majority of the celebs work very hard with the professional dancers. Also hats off to the singers and the orchestra as their creativity goes along way to support every dance. As for Oti's sister being a judge no doubt she will be very professional and leave all family connections at the stage door. We will all have to wait had see how this season will gel.
-
I'm enjoying the anticipation. The programme helps get me through Autumn :-\
-
I love strictly!!
-
So do I Foxlady
Lanzalover x
-
Gorka is not going to have a celebrity partner this year, he's just going to be in the professionals dances
:cuss:
No Gorka no Pascha :'(
-
Sad :( :'(
-
No Pasha :'( but Gorka will be there.
-
I wonder why they have relegated him.
-
I wonder why they have relegated him.
I don't know but I'm not happy about it, it's always been one of my favourite shows but the more the BBC tinker with it the less I like it :-\
-
Love Strictly - makes the approach of Winter easier to bear!
-
One person went out last week having injured his ankle ::) and do you know, I couldn't be bothered last night :-\. Prefer the men in Lycra ........... ;)
-
Just watched the Strictly introduction show....they seem to have hired a D grade, bland, lightweight bunch this year. Hardly anyone over 40 (Yes I know Anika but she looks 35!) , no politicians, comedians or well known sportsmen. They seemed more of a likeable , articulate bunch last year ...Not sure about the new judge, she may be a good dancer but you need someone with strong TV presence. Brucie would be turning in his grave. Find myself yearning for Ed Balls/Ann Widdecome/Russle Grant /Judge Rinder!
May watch the first one then make a call.
-
I see that Judge Rinder has split from his husband :-\ ::)
I will watch if there's nowt else on until it gets interesting ...........
-
It was Claudia's outfit that had my attention (not in a good way!!) were red PVC trouser suits ever fashionable. Tess looked super sexy in her velvet dress which made Claudia look even worse. I'm looking forward to it, always enjoy seeing who improves the most & the stand out performances (not always technically the best!! ;D). x
-
Love Strictly - makes the approach of Winter easier to bear!
I have recorded the 1st show to watch when I get home from holiday. Hope to not be disappointed.
-
Lips are sealed katejo, won't give anything else away. x
-
I saw her out-fit too. I don't watch strictly, but turned it over only to see Claudia's red suit.
Who made that? 😆😂 wasn't a good choice....Tess always looks amazing....
-
Have caught up on the story of some of the pro-dancers, light hearted and humorous. Obviously Katya and Neil hadn't split by then.
-
I'm very disappointed in this years celebrities >:( can I add I'm watching celebrity masterchef at the moment, I have no idea who these people are apart from Greg Rutherford, last week I didn't know any of them :-\
-
Oti Mubusi from Strictly? one of the prettiest women I have ever seen .
-
I agree CLKD. She is absolutely stunning & her body's unbelievable. I could watch her dance all night!
-
Oti was on masterchef 2 weeks ago, last week was goggle box man, the chase quiz woman, comedian, love island contestant and BBC Asian network man :-\
I did know Zandra Rhodes, omg her hair and make up, she's always had her own style :)
-
I wonder why she doesn't 'do' Strictly ......
-
1st live programs tonight?
-
Every Saturday now until Chr***mas ;D
-
Yep. Gives me something to look forwards to ........ will there B it takes 2?
-
Yes it takes 2 on BBC 1 this year at 5.15 I think, I've set my box up to record it :)
-
Tnx I would have gone to BBC2 :o
-
So far quite entertaining
-
Did anyone see Kelvin Fletcher? ...OMG....I don't normally watch strictly, ....WOW, I will now! 😜😜😜😜
My money's on him to win! ...😁
-
Was he the man brought in a short notice? with Oti?
-
Yes.....that's him..
-
Drives racing cars too :o - as he was dancing I thought "he to win!"
Not sure about James Cracknell: flat footed, could see him thinking the dance through ........ is he the 'disabled' candidate this year, hopefully his head injury won't interfere too much and he will improve.
-
Yes, I think he is......his wife banned him before from becoming a contestant due to the ‘Strictly Curse' ....they've been married 17 years or so .....
-
No, I'm wrong .....the disabled contestant is Will Bayley.....Table Tennis Player...
He's world no 1 gold medalist.
-
James split from his wife ages ago ......... he is obsessive as many athletes are . I can see her face :-\ Beverley Turner
Will - I remember watching him at table tennis ......... determination.
Well for a 1st show that wasn't all bad. Might tune in next week :D
-
Kelvin & Oti, Michelle & Giovanni! A-MAY-ZING!!
-
Yes I loved Kelvin but then I've been an Emmerdale fan for forever, he's fab!! I really enjoyed Sat, I think going on first impressions it's going to be a tight contest this year. I also think Motsi is great, breath of fresh air. x
-
Doesn't Motsi sound like Oti though - I shut my eyes and couldn't tell the difference :D. I wonder how nervous she was, her first Panel Judging.
-
Yes, loved Motsi - thought she was very natural & warm.
-
They all amaze me - I couldn't walk across our lounge in those heels ;D
-
Who will go, James? At least he smiled last night ::)
-
He was better than last week but still very wooden and awkward
-
Just caught up on Strictly unfortunately to much wine drunk now to decide who may go but omg Mike Bushell made us laugh he'll be in for couple more weeks David James and James James Cacknell were dire 😂
Lanzalover x
-
? It's going to be good ? 8)
-
I have no idea 😂
Lanzalover x
-
;D
-
I'm doing my usual checking on a Saturday night to know who's out :whist:
-
The right decision made I would say. He gave it a go though so he should be praised for that, can't be easy for him learning the routines (or not!). x
-
Hardly knew any of the 'musicals' this evening.
:-\ .........
-
That may be because it was 'movie' week ;)
-
We went out at 8.20 so missed Katya falling twice !!!! and also teethgate although I have seen some clips on line poor Craig he was genuinely mortified when he realised his mistake ;D
Lanzalover x
-
I missed that bit....what happened?
All was good this week...
Way to go Calvin...😉
-
AAAHHHH - was I watching the same programme
Whose to go 'later' - wish that they would be honest about that, we aren't idiots after all!
-
She feel during her dance with Mike and then again when she reached Claudia she's saying the second fall was a joke !
Anton was dressed as Austin Powers and Craig thought he had false teeth in but he didn't Craig was the last person in the studio to realise his mistake but was genuinely mortified when he realised his mistake it was funny.
Don't know what's up with the telly we can get everything but BBC1 but DH has managed to get it on his phone.
Think David and Anakea will be in dance off and Anakea should go home but who knows all be reveled shortly.
Lanzalover x
-
I couldn't see why Katya fell and she's still wearing her wedding rings though separated from Neil :-\
I thought Anton looked ridiculous >:(
-
Oh yes, I've just seen it about the teeth.....😂🤣 I saw Katy's fall on the dance floor, but not again.
And yes I agree, Annika has to go, then David James....defo....🤷♀️
-
Yep. Right call this evening. I don't think Anneka 'got it' ::) which is exactly how I would be :D. In my head but not as far as my feet ;D
-
I thought Craig mistakenly thinking Anton's own teeth were false/fake was hilarious!! ;D
-
After 15 years wouldn't Craig be aware of Anton's teeth or probably not - as Anton doesn't stay in long ::)
-
Anneka looks great tho don't she? Just got no rhythm....💃
-
Anyone else having trouble with Zoe being on at 5.15 p.m. :-\
-
Ryland on at 6.30 'it takes 2' ........ :-\
without Zoe ........ ???
-
Over-all - that was good :cancan:
-
Oooh Kelvin again :) :) :)!! A great test of whether HRT's controlling flushes ;D! Seems mine's just not up to the job when he's around!
-
;D he got Shirly too ::)
I didn't think that Katya and her partner ? Mike did particularly well, sometimes I think that I am watching a different programme :D and what's with her tears all the while :-\
Who will go :o
-
Some couples were very overmarked, Mike Bushell springs to mind and David needs to improve his posture, he hunches his shoulders ???
-
Kelvin doesn't do it for you then CLKD?! :o ;D
-
He's good but I can see him thinking every step through .......
I'd like to see Katya go
-
:'(
-
Gutted with tonights result, neither deserved to be in the bottom, it's a travesty!! :'(
-
Oh noooooo! How can that be right? He was in my top 4! :'(
-
Mine too, pour Dianne sobbing at the end. x
-
I know - brought a lump to the throat. :'( They deserved to stay in. I thought he'd go on for weeks & was really looking forward to watching him - seemed a natural.
-
What a shocker !! :(
-
You watch his face CLKD?!
-
You watch his face CLKD?!
-
Yep. :D
-
Well that was a shocker didn't see that one coming but I blame the judges the scoring on Saturday night was crazy there were a lot of couples who were greatly overmarked and when that happens it always ends up with a shock exit.
Lanzalover x
-
Yep. It's almost like the whole judging panel is choreographed >:(
Often they praise someone even with the word 'perfect' but don't follow up the marks with a 9 >:(.
-
I have been married for years, maybe that's why I don't notice :D
-
Does anyone read Marianka Swain's Strictly blog in the Dancing Times? She's really funny ;D.
https://www.dancing-times.co.uk/strictly-speaking-week-4-5/ (https://www.dancing-times.co.uk/strictly-speaking-week-4-5/)
-
Hi Saffy
Thanks for the link it was an interesting read and mirrored my thoughts,
I don't know if anyone saw loose women yesterday it's not something I usually watch as I'm generally in work but they had Shirley on as a guest and she said the judges do their bit and then it's up to the public to vote implying it was the fault of the public and nothing to do with their crazy scoring that Dev went home !! Couldn't believe that the panel let her get away with that comment without question :bang:
Hopefully normal service will be resumed next week
Lanzalover x
-
Isn't that 'normal' though. Giving high praise but not scoring in line with their comments :-\
-
WOW! Will and Ginnette :'(
-
Yes, but it was Motsi's reaction that finished me off!
Love Michelle's mix of confidence & poise every week - Like Debbie McGee, another great example of a woman of a certain age who definitely still has it! Thought she deserved better comments & judging than she got this week.
Enjoyed both Alex & Saffron's dances. Kelvin, of course :-* & thought Karim was brilliant again!
Great, escapist entertainment, makes approaching winter almost bearable! ;D
-
Yep Motsi started me off :'(
I thought Mike was awful, really didn't like watching him :-\
Some beautiful costumes tonight I especially liked Catherine's blue feathery dress, I can imagine swishing around in it ;D
-
Good morning
Enjoyed last nights show and the judges scoring was more consistent.
David and Mike should be in the dance off tonight and hopefully Mike and Katya will be gone ( their dance was truly awful) and don't think I can stand another week of either of them.
Lanzalover x
-
I agree. How they got such good marks last week I still can't fathom, I think that the Judges were watching a different Show!
-

Lanzalover x
I preferred Mike's to David's this time but agree that they should be in the dance off. I was impressed with several performances and found it hard to choose.
-
I wanted that Katya gone >:( though I think Mike improved a little.
-
Very disappointed with the judges decision last night I'm saying no more.
Lanzalover x
-
:D oh go on ..... ;D
-
Very disappointed with the judges decision last night I'm saying no more.
Lanzalover x
But you expected those two to be in the dance off didn't you?
-
Yep.
-
Yes I did but as the judges had said the previous evening Mike and Katya hadn't danced a samba.lDavid gave the jive a go not very good I admit but he tried.
So as far as I'm concerned they should have gone as they didn't perform the dance they were given and what they did do was beyond ridiculous it is after all a dancing completion.
Hopefully they'll be gone next week.
Lanzalover
-
NOOOOOO :'( although Mike did dance better :-\
-
Sorry I think Mike has terrible posture and I think he should have gone, I didn't mind him on BBC breakfast but I really dislike him on Structly >:(
-
I can't stand her ;)
-
Sorry I think Mike has terrible posture and I think he should have gone, I didn't mind him on BBC breakfast but I really dislike him on Structly >:(
Mike did better this time but he should have gone out. I am really disappointed with the result. Catherine shouldn't have been in the dance off at all. I expected Chris and Karen to be the other two but that they would win the dance off and go through.
On an entirely different topic: Every year I think that I just couldn't perform in stilettos. Even if i could learn a dance in more comfortable footwear, it would be ruined in stilettos. ;D
-
;D. I fall off slippers :o :D
-
I really wanted Mike to go this week but have to admit he upped his game this week and Catherine was the worst dancer.
Hopefully he'll go next week.
Lanzalover x
-
I think that if the Programme has same-sex couples in future that Tess will need a large supply of Kleenex ;) Johannes could hardly keep it together ::)
-

Hopefully he'll go next week.
Lanzalover x
[/quote I preferred Catherine's performance and I have seen plenty of other comments from viewers who agree with me. Yes Mike was better this week but the improvement wasn't big enough.
-
Why isn't Zoe doing ItTakes2? though I like Rylan doing his waltz. He would make a good contestant. I see that Zoe's morning show is shedding listening numbers ......
-
Can't stand her at all. When she talks she puts all the emphasis on the wrong words and can't seem to speak in a normal fashion.
-
Who? Zoe ?
-
Yes, Zoe. Find her very irritating.
-
...... I can't listen to much of Radio2 these days :-\
-
Will has left :'( and Neil isn't rehearsing this week :-\
-
Oh poor Will, he looked like he was enjoying the experience :(
-
Yes felt so sorry for him on It Takes Two he looked liked he was trying really hard not cry.
I wasn't very keen on Jeanette but she's gone up in my estimation this series when I've seen the way she interacted with Will there appears to be a genuine bond between the two of two of them, and she managed to bring out the best in him on the dance floor.
Sorry they won't be able to continue.
Lanzalover x
-
:'(
I could watch Aliajz all night.
Anyone else think that Anton is going through the motions rather than engaging in his dances :-\. He doesn't seem to get 'into' the character as the others do. He smiles as though he can't believe that he's still in the Competition.
-
He seems staid - if that makes sense. I think he's fascinated that he remains in the competition ;D
I'm rooting for Michelle and Otis' partner [name gone completely >:(] but I can see his face ;-). Giovanni did a splendid routine and Michelle 'got it'! I could watch it over again.
-
Kelvin CLKD. How could you forget? ;D
-
:medal: you passed the initiative test ;D
-
How did you feel about Johannes dancing with Griaazino? It took me ages to decide which partner it was ::) and whilst I enjoyed the choreography I don't think that same sex parties has a place in a competition. It's been usual in ballet for years to show artistry and musicality.
Did anyone else realise that some of the cast this year are using signing ? I did wonder earlier in this series but it was confirmed last week.
-
Can't stand her at all. When she talks she puts all the emphasis on the wrong words and can't seem to speak in a normal fashion.
I agree with you completely Jellyb, I only listen to her in the morning because I can't be bothered to re-tune all the radios. Her breathless delivery drives me mad. I really wish Sara Cox had got the morning show.
-
I felt so sorry for Emma last night, she really was heartbroken 😢
-
I don't like Sara Cox either. Too friendly ::)
The dancers put heart and soul into it so will be upset as it takes up 24/7 for while. But she has a 'house' to run ;) - maybe she should have an afternoon of tea dances or professionals teaching dance?
-
Mike was stomping !
AJ and Saffront - Buetiful :-*
Kelvin - yep
-
Agreed CLKD, Mike was a bit stompy, but I enjoyed Katya's tango & the music they did it to was fab! Michelle was brill again, Saffron was a joy to watch & Kelvin, mmm, mmm ;D :-* :-* :-*
Felt sorry for Karim - have really enjoyed all his previous dances. Better next week perhaps. :)
-
I thought that Karim was messy. Probably a lot to take in, they are getting more tense and probably tired. Anton and his partner were on This Morning during the week >:(. Get practicing Girl!
-
I thought Karim looked as though tension was coming through in his dancing - not as relaxed or polished as in previous weeks & just not his dance. Enjoyed Anton & Emma's this time.
-

Yes I enjoyed Anto and Emma's but have just realised that I forgot to log in and vote! I did mean to. Something must have distracted me ....!
-
What would that have been. Kelvin's thighs ?
-
Ooooh you strumpet CLKD :o ;D - you told me a couple of weeks ago on this thread you only watch his face ::);D
-
I do, honestly, I do ;D ............ he's apparently a racing driver too :-*
-
How did *that* happen :o ........ how could a pair towards the top of the Leader Board B in a dance off >:(
Mike did well but fortunately they were sent home. However .........
-
Mike had done his time, looking forward to Blackpool, one of my favourites!! x
-
I agree that he had worked as hard as he could but was getting down the food chain but I think it's time that the voting results were made public.
-
At last he's gone
Lanzalover x
-
I think at this stage people vote for the ones they want to keep in (rather than their favourites). I was amazed that Michelle and Giovanni were in the dance off - they were my favourite - But I voted to keep Mike in as I thought Chris just stomped his way around the tango.
I think 50% of the nation has their eyes on Kevins' hips! Plus he seems like a nice, down to earth, non preening kind of chap - unusual combo!
-
I do wonder sometimes :-\. It is suggested that because 'favourites' are in the top 3 that people vote for the underdog without taking into account the dancing ability!
-
WOW!
-
I was surprised saffron & AJ were in the bottom two! x
-
I wonder how it all works .........
I didn't want either couple to be in the dance off >:(
-
I thought Alex and Saffron were poor last night.
-
I loved Kelvin and Oti :) apart from what they wore, I think lots off the costumes have been disappointing this series :-\
-
I loved Kelvin and Oti :) apart from what they wore, I think lots off the costumes have been disappointing this series :-\
I voted for Kelvin too and also Anton/Emma. I liked the costumes except when they do dances from cartoons/animated characters. Generally these are my least favourite performances.
-
I HATE the Samba with a vegencne, it doesn't do it for me .......... I switched off last week when Karim was dancing :-\
I think it will be Anton out this evening ........
-
I don't know if it's my imagination but I don't remember many ballroom dances this series apart from Anton ? It's been lots of shake it all about, or have I just forgotten the dances in hold ?
-
If your meno brain is like mine, it doesn't remember one week from the next ;D
1st Argentine tango yesterday. A dance that I would love to learn ;-)
-
I like the Jive the best.
-
Well Saffron and AJ went out did you see her face while waiting to find out if she was in the dance off thought her reaction and behaviour was appalling surprised she didn't stamp her feet, burst into tears and stomp off just so childish.
Lanzalover x
-
Probably due to AJ having been sent off at this particular dance each time?
-
Enjoyed last nights show.
Lanzalover x
-
Yep. Can't decide who to Vote for yet :-\ ........... Karim was superb. But so was Kelvin ............
-
Kelvin & Karim for the final, would love Kelvin to win but that's cause I'm an Emmerdale fan, either would be deserved. x
-
;D. DH wants Anton to win ........... next year maybe? 'cos he's had 10s already :D
-
I think Kelvin and Karin are the best 2. Not sure about the 3rd though.
-
< tick >
-
I think Kelvin and Karin are the best 2. Not sure about the 3rd though.
Emma and Anton for the 3rd pair in the final.
-
Having watched the show on Saturday, I agree Katejo
-
I don't think anyone was up to scratch this evening :-\ ........... DH voted for Anton and I voted for Kelvin/Oti ;)
-
I think having to do two dances this week really showed and as CLKD has said none of the dancers were outstanding in my option Kelvin gave the best performances.
As for the scoring I have no idea what was going with the judges don't know how many times last night they said a dance wasn't perfect then awarded a 10 !!!! and as for Motsi she was driving me crazy last night with all her over the top shouting etc at least Bruno gives a good review of each dance.
Lanzalover x
-
I think last night showed that Kelvin is more of an all rounder. Karin is really good at the fast dances but not as versatile as Kelvin.
-
I think Craig is correct - a perfect score should be for perfection, not mutter about the ins and outs and then show favouritism by producing a 10 or even a 9. Some weren't up to 9s either.
-
Kelvin still my winner whatever the outcome next week! x
-
Yep. Spot on!
Some good news too:
Strictly star Natalie Lowe gives birth to baby boy called Jack - she was on with Rylan earlier this week and the bump looked really neat. Now it's a BOY :bouncing:
-
I always liked Natalie she was lovely on the show :)
I can't take to Emma but I think she's a better dancer than Chris, he had too many gimmicks in his routines so his actual dancing is limited, especially last week, he hardly did any quickstep >:(
-
I can't take to Anton ........... he smiles in the wrong places and doesn't seem committed somehow ..........
-
I can't take to Anton ........... he smiles in the wrong places and doesn't seem committed somehow ..........
I wasn't too keen on Anton but have liked him much more this year. Really glad that he and Emma have reached the final.
-
1. Kelvin
2. Karim
3.Emma.
What do you think?
-
:great: hope so
-
My sister got Kelvin in her works sweep ::) we said he'll never win with Oti's sister being a judge, it'll look like a fix ;D who knew he would be soooooo good ;D
-
-
Not long to go
:cancan:
-
Starting to get excited now. Hope Kelvin and Oti win 🙏
Lanzalover x
-
Ready & waiting, exciting final!!! ;)
-
Kelvin and Otis show dance was fantastic the other two left me cold
Lanzalover x
-
:ola:  :cheer:
-
So pleased Kelvin and Oti won
:cancan: :cancan: :cancan: :ola: :cancan: :cancan:

-
FabULus evening :-*
Good result :-*
The Greatest Dancer starts 5 Jan.. That young lass won and got to Dance on the Show. The one that can lift her leg up beside her ear :o
-
Yaaaaay :cancan: Have thought Oti was the best female professional since she joined & wanted Kelvin to win from night one! Fab-u-lous result!! :) :) :)
-
Kelvin and Otis show dance was fantastic the other two left me cold
Lanzalover x
Surprised that the other two left you cold. I expected Kelvin to win but enjoyed Emma and Anton more tonight.
-
I wanted the other chap, Karim, to win. Didn't think he would, though, because he'd been in the dance off a couple of times. But he was fab. And seemed to be a really lovely young lad.
🕺
-
I'm happy that Kelvin won but I didn't think Emma was anywhere near as good as Kelvin or Karim.
We all see different things that we like or find faults with certain dances, I wish the audience didn't boo when the judges give their views.
-
Actually: I would have liked to see Emma and Anton win as the other pairs were so good ;D
Wonder what time they all got into bed this morning ?
-
I agree Two Hoots -
I'm happy that Kelvin won but I didn't think Emma was anywhere near as good as Kelvin or Karim.
. I was surprised there were some celebs eliminated earlier who I thought were destined to go further than Emma & Anton, but I liked their Charleston, before that their couple's choice dance & & some of their ballroom numbers were very graceful.
-
Just not a lover of Comtempory dance which seems to appears as couples choice a lot during the series don't know why it was introduced.
And as for Emmma and Anton seen it done before Over the years on Strictly plus he used to dance it with Erin when they were on tour so for me nothing new.
Just my take on things I appreciate we all different and it would be very boring if we all liked and disliked the same things.
So pleased Oti has finally won she ( in my opinion) is the best pro dancer on the show.
Lanzalover x
-
Yes Lanzalover - completely agree about Oti. Very pleased to see her win. :)
-
Before the series started and it was announced that Oti's sister was going to be a judge, I thought it was a mistake, being judged by her sister :o now after seeing her, I love Motsi ;D I think she's the best thing that's happened to the show since they sacked Arlene :)
-
Totally agree about Motsi Two Hoots - she is so spontaneous, warm & genuine. A wonderful addition to the panel. :-*
-
Agreed
Lanzalover x
-
Motsi never addressed Oti, comments were given to Kelvin.
The Sun reports that Anton has left but can't find anything on the net, the paper was taking out of context a comment from Emma. Apparently.
Anton and Erin are 'off' in January for a few months tapping the various theatres but may anxiety doesn't allow me to go :'(
-
Oh what a shame CLKD. Theatres & concert venues can be very claustrophobic, with the feeling that it's difficult to get out in a hurry if panic sets in. I remember at the height of peri with flushing & the associated panic at their worst, feeling I needed to get out of an old theatre during a Christmas production of Nutcracker or Swan Lake but we were mid-row, squashed in, right up in the Gods & it was very dark - no chance of getting out without everyone having to stand up. Nightmare!
-
Yep. I got by for years by buying an end of row seat: until the last concert which was Black Mambaso which was a bit thump anyway. End of row: nope. End of row near a socking great pillar :o so I was more trapped than ever. I had to leave half way through the first part of the evening and have never looked at a what's on since :'(. It means missing performances by two lads in the folk circuit .......... who we have known for years++ and both live close by but I can't even visit with them.
But I do other stuff. I suppose I could do the queue up at the door fan-thing ;D
-
Yes CLKD - I think it's about being comfortable with our limits as we age, doing those things we can that give us pleasure & letting go of those that are more trouble than they're worth.
-
I find it sad though not to see our friends performing. But DH and I have a Life in the main .......
-
I understand CLKD :bighug:
-
:thankyou:
