If you had all the money in the World which car would you buy?
My 1st choice will be a bright yellow Lambourghini with purple material seats
2nd would be a Hymer motor home

I'd have a motor home. No idea which, I haven't been looking as I can't justify it. I don't really care about the car as long as it gets me from a to b, space in the boot for dogs and small enough to park easily. And high ground clearance so it doesn't bottom out on the farm track - which eliminates most of the fancy ones.

Wouldn't be good for my choice then ;D nor would I have dogs in it. But that's what I've said about all the vehicles we've owned :lol:

My car will be a red Porsche 911 with a massive spoiler on the back ;D not in the least bit practical but I want one ::)

I'm with you Lanzalover I don't care, I love my little runaround! Where I used to live there were two friends of mine, one of them always had to keep up with the other it was like keeping up with the Jones'! Felt sorry for the friend it happened to.

A red Land Rover evoque to take the dog out and a red Ferrari for summer drives to the coast, plus an old landy to off road.

Hmm... I think old Land rovers are a tad overrated. We had a diesel mark 2 - acceleration of a squashed slug, top speed 40mph, so noisy you had to shout to be heard, turning circle of a field and drum brakes that made sure you kept you distance from the car in front. Kept it til it was 21 and sold it for £1k, the same as parents paid for it when it was 2 years old (my mother was keen to give it to me so she could drive something else).

Finding a car that is suitable and you like PLUS having as low an environmental impact as possible, is a nightmare. I suppose there is a difference between a dream car and one you would actually buy.
I don't drive so my criteria is narrower, eg comfort, colour etc., can't say cars get me particularly excited.

You're right about workhorses. It got me home from 40 miles away with the horse in tow and a piston in the sump - very, very slowly. Can't imagine anything else that would have done that (perished rubber=total engine rebuild).

Not very interested in cars TBH. Hubby usually sorts our cars out and we usually have one a few years old. as long as it doesn't let me down that's OK with me.

I'm still mourning my little smart car. It had to go when things started to go wrong. It might have been little, but the repair bills were huge as the engine had to be taken out for some problems. So I'm dreaming of a new one every 3 years and the money to with it! Now there's room for one gorgeous man in the passenger seat and one in the boot. Now who shall I choose............

We used to have a bt cruiser,was a small American one with a slide out where the sofa was and a separate bedroom,loved it and miss it🙁

Did U ever drive it ? How did you store it?
I saw one many years ago with a slide out underneath on which was parked a Merc sports car ;-). It drove off down a ramp which then slid back under the motor home :-*

Nooooo I never drove it,it's mirrors stuck out too far for my liking & it was left hand drive ,my brain wouldn't cope with that,even had a decent shower in it.We've a big space round our house as husband needs to store work vans etc,it wasn't huge huge,slightly bigger than our auto trail Mohican.
You need to get one to store your Lamborghini clkd 😆

We have an ancient prehistoric Swift Konntiki 7.25m long 6 berth more than 25 years old. My husband keeps showing me newer ones but we have dogs and I just say all the newer ones with all their cream interiors and carpets just aren't dog friendly - well that's my excuse. Mechanically she's good but shabby...shabby chic ;D I love our Konni.
Car hunting for 21 year old son, newly passed test - so needs category 1 or category 2 insurance group car to be able to even consider the insurance without winning the lottery! We live in NI and the amounts for a little Hyundai or a Honda Jazz are 2k plus per annum. We can do a fiat panda for £950 pre 2010 ;D ;D ;D that's if we can still find one on the road with all 4 wheels and a body that is fully intact!

A neighbour has an basic insurance but pays the day B4 if he plans to travel anywhere. Therefore it stands ready for use; he needs to remember to 'phone the Company and pay 'extra'.
I love Swift models. Good doers ;)
