Post by: jaypo on November 13, 2018, 03:32:23 PM: Ok,moan time but does anyone here absolutely hate some adverts?ive actually started to mute the tv because of the incessant all singing all dancing adverts,not to mention flippin aftershave & perfume ads,has anyone seen one of those that actually make any sense at all?!?

Went to the cinema the other day for the 1st time in yonks.. omg the ads on a big screen in your face at 5 million decibels. I almost chucked my 13 quid ticket in the bin and ran screaming out of there! ;D

If they must top up there money they should find something more ethical.

I wish they would start doing more humorous adverts instead of all deep and meaningful,sometimes you can't even guess what an ad is for until they tell you at the end!!
I used to love the kitkat adverts,one was when as a schoolboy he was teasing an elephant at the zoo (I think) then roll forward 20 years and the same elephant in a parade,spots the now man in a crowd and biffs him with his trunk 😆

My OHs teeth were getting rattled by the electric toothbrush and as he has dodgey implant thingies it's a no no for him too but I'd admire the advert makers more if they showed someone brushing their teeth with a bit of foam dribbling down their chin😆

Hate the AA child singing and the Go Compare taxi driver just saying "Fantastic aw fantastic". In fact I've started recording most of my favourite programmes on TiVo so i can zoom through the ads. I can remember years ago some adverts used to be as entertaining as the programmes ;D

R smart meter is part of the fuse box so can be accessed when Big Brother wants. That other thing that blinks what we are using at any one time is in our utility room: I keep turning it, face to the wall as I simply ain't interested :D - I won't be cold for anyone ;-)

And they seem to be on all the time now. >:( And it's not just the subject matter either. Every station plays the same ads over and over every commercial break. My oldest ds has ASD and some ads will trigger anxiety and he has to mute them.
