Title: Reflux
Post by: AHG on April 17, 2017, 07:28:29 PM
Hi
I don't think this has been covered recently.
Is there a likelihood that the Elleste Conti Duet I have been taking for 5 months is making my acid reflux cough worse?
Any thoughts gratefully received

Hi. Indigestion is mentioned as a side effect so it could be the problem. If it is markedly worse though perhaps you should get it checked out? You might find that a patch or gel HRT is kinder to your tummy.

Yes thanks I see that may be an answer. I am taking the HRT to help with a poor osteoporosis diagnosis. Does this useage preclude patches?
Thank you again for your response.

I wouldn't have thought so AHG although it's difficult to get HRT prescribed purely for bone health so well done on getting it! I'm not sure how old you are? Are you on medication for the bones as well? This is the advice from the menu in the green bar at the top of the page under "Health" https://www.menopausematters.co.uk/osteoporosistreatment.php

I am 56 and was mortified by the Osteoporosis diagnosis last year. I saw two specialists and they agreed with my plan to try to improve the situation through diet and exercise change and HRT until I am 60.
