For several years Himself has had itchy skin. I think it's the socks that he wears ::) as the area of sensitivity seems to be at the 'cuff'. It starts with him scratching until the skin bleeds, I suggested in June that he tries E45 cream ........ this morning he thought that he might go to see a Pharmacist for advice ::)
I told him it's probably lack of hormones ......... :whist: after all my skin has dried ;-)
It doesn't appear to be anywhere else which leads me to think that it's the socks to blame :-X

get him some of the socks without elastic in the cuff? :) You can get them on amazon and on ebay

that suggestion was made B4 C.mas when I was searching for stocking fillers ;) but it wasn't taken up

Men are not good at being told these sort of things CLKD. My hubby was really ill with what I reckon was chest infection over CHristmas. Did he go to GP? Nope! Wouldn't even go to pharmacist. Stubborn? Yep!!! ;D

For a few years I have had areas like this first on my breast, then my stomach (where my waist band was), my neck, behind my ear...do look up images of dermatitis and see if they match. I have sensitive skin and assumed it was a washing powder or whatever irritating me. It come and goes. What helps me is a cream my son was prescribed for eczema.

I have those types of dry patches on the buttocks which start as though I've been bitten on the bum ;D or start as a kind of nappy rash ..... of course I can't see either area ....... Savlon has worked thus far.

:thankyou: I know that he would think that I was offering to rub in the cream ;D + :bed: so I haven't pushed the ideas too heavily :D

My OH had this, the pharmacist gave him a cream, prescribed essentially for diabetics feet, it worked a treat, no more itchy nasty dryness....he rubs it in himself every morning before he puts his socks on... ;D
