Post by: CLKD on July 23, 2016, 02:26:37 PM
Specsavers - where the Guide goes round switching off the museum lights ……

Moonpig - "I ordered it yesterday" - didn't think much of your Mum then did you ……… no thinking ahead there!

Ikea - Grandad and child cooking together

Never watch any adverts. Record everything then fast forward through the ads.

Loathe most adverts. I used to love the Smash adverts of years ago. They made me giggle. Not many which have made me laugh recently though.

The mobile phone advert where a sunburned man has sunglasses white marks and a white hand print across his body and a car with a load of luggage on its roof goes under a low barrier  ;D

Yep.  That makes me wince, having been sunburnt years ago - wonder who the hand print might have been  ::)

I like the new Flash advert, it's the Flash Gordon music and a dog searching for the mud he shook off in the house  ;D

Do we get different adverts dependant on where we live?

I hate the American who is advising about hire cars/vans  >:(

The Anchor spreadable advert was on last night (they've used it before - Grandma 'fluffy monster thing' gives child 'fluffy monster thing' a stuffed elephant that makes a noise when squeezed ... mummy 'fluffy monster thing' slowly driven insane by said gift while Grandma sniggers in the corner) ... I laughed until I cried - it really tickled by funny-bone!!  ;D ;D

Have to agree with Scampi - I adore the squeaky elephant advert "This is the best toy ever!"   ;D

Still waiting for Irn Bru one in Scotland, or maybe it's UK wide.

Hope it's done by someone who says/understands it properly.  Do you remember Jilly Golden, on the Food And Drink programme several years ago, visiting Glasgow and being rather intrigued by what she obviously thought was cafe owner called Barry Grub!!  ;D

Must have missed that one Dulciana.  ;D We do enjoy a bit of Glaswegian or Weegie humour as we call it!

Grouse ads used to make me giggle too. Only seen one this year.

Grouse has taken a different tack this year  :sigh:

I was a while 'getting' the 'doodle'-dog shaking mud over with the "Queen" song, all I could think was do the Band get Royalities  ::)
