Another member has a thread about this.

There seems to be no answer unfortunately.

I've just manually updated a couple of files that have been skipped in the normal upgrade process. I've no idea if it will fix anything or even break something.
It would be helpful when reporting problems if you give as much info as possible regarding platform, browser, mobile, pc, mac, tablet, etc etc.

I got locked out the forum last week, eventually got back on, on my kindle. My iPad was having none of it. Son came and fixed things and I can now use my iPad but the extra smilies still refuse to work.
I think it's the forum now and not me  ???

The extra smilies window may be getting blocked by a popup blocker? I'm not sure tho - my browser is set to block all popups and I get the extra smilies ok. Try it and see....

I can see all the smilies, the bar and the 'more' window but when I click on one it doesn't want to go into my post (sad)

Try closing them & re-opening. I find if I leave the 'more' window open, smilies don't work, but if I close & reopen they work fine.

ah, I've just discovered that smileys don't work on the new Microsoft Edge browser on a PC.

...I've had a look on the developers forum and it's a known issue with Internet Explorer 11 and Edge. There is a fix and it'll be rolled out in a future forum upgrade.

Just logging in with firefox to see if it works  ::)

Yes it does  :)

Just need to remember to log in with FF via bookmarks instead of shortcut which uses Edge.

Thanks for the info Emma  :thankyou:

I no longer get the extra smilies and the normal smilies do not have their Christmas hats on as I understand from reading posts that they have for other people. Logging out doesn't seem to make any difference. I use an iPad.

I don't get the Christmas hat smilies either.
I'm using Google Chrome on a MacBook Air.

refresh your browser - on the keyboard it's F5.

I've tried doing a hard refresh for Chrome on my Macbook - still no joy.
