Post by: Taz2 on September 11, 2015, 03:58:55 PM: It's to see how far your cervix drops probably to check for the beginning of a prolapse although it's better to check while you are standing up - obviously not mid-smear though!!

I had visions in my head of men being asked the same ;D I said I've never been asked to cough before and she seemed quite shocked but said it makes the cervix drop a little??
