Good Evening Ladies,
I'm a newbie to this site! and I am looking forward to reading all your stories and getting some tips from you all.
This is exactly how I feel.....................'.what the bloody hell is going on!' one minute I was plodding along, happy go lucky women, nice figure, my skin was pretty good to now having a middle age spread, grumpy one minute, crying another & laughing the next & feeling frumpy. So girls any advice besides sticking my head down the loo and flushing the chain
It's fine I'm in complete control
Love Hugs x

Hello Hugs! I've been feeling the same as you for the past 4 years. I like your use of Comic Sans font ;) Welcome!

Thanks girls - feel part of the family & so soon x
Going to have a good read on all the bits & bobs
It's amazing to think that sometimes you just can't see the wood from the trees and think that you are all alone and you are the only one that feels like this - I certainly have & I have certainly hit the road running on this one.
thanks again
Hugs x

Hi Hugs,
You've gotta laugh or you'd cry...
How old are you and how long have the horrors been going on?
Good GP? Or battling through on your own?
The forum has been a sanity-saver for me. :)

I'm 45, and the proverbial hit the fan late last year. I actually ended up in a&e for 7 hours, on a drip and a heart monitor, because I felt so horrendous just before Christmas.
My GP, the a&e doctors, my friends all look at me like I'm mad when I mention perimenopause - "you're too young!", so I'm off to see a private women's health specialist (she's reputedly a life saver and all-around guru!) tomorrow...another reason this site is so fabulous!

Don't forget to let us know how you get on will you Honorsmum !
Good luck x

Absolutely! Thank you, Dazned - I'm feeling a bit nervous (not least because I need to get my children to school early, before driving to Bristol) but I've jotted down a few notes about my symptoms, and my lovely husband is coming with me. :-*

Hi Hurdity
Well for the last 2 years I have had irregular periods, nothing too much and nothing I couldn't handle.
For as long as I can remember I could almost set my watch to when the time of the month came so even though they were becoming more and more irregular this was all still a little out of character for me, but nothing that I couldn't handle.
2 weeks ago and yes only 2 weeks ago it all changed, I realised that it had been 6 weeks and I felt very, very strange. Since that weekend, not only have I not slept I have had hot flushes, my mouth is dry, I have a pain down the side of my face, I feel weepy and cry at the slightest thing & my weight has just gone through the roof.
Even though my issues are not exactly serious compared to some other ladies on here, but I do feel rotten.
So Hurdity that's me and this horrible thing that is sticking with me
Out of curiosity how long does this go on for - or is it 'how long is a piece of string'
Oi - everyone needs a hug x
What about you Hurdity how's things with you?
