Title: Evorel Sequi Parches
Post by: MichelleH on January 20, 2026, 07:44:07 PM
Hi everyone.    I was on evorel Sequi patches May to October 2025.

I started getting hot flushes so  was changed to oestrogel 3 pumps and utrogestan 2 tablets at night.   I got really bad headaches on these.  I'm not the best at taking tablets so forgot the gel and tablets a few times.

I spoke to the doctor and asked to go back on evorel Sequi patches. Which I started 25th December.   When I started the evorel conti patches the following day I started a period. Which lasted 6 days.. I have been spotting since and I'm in day 12.

I spoke to the pharmacist at day 8 and she said to keep going as this can happen dee to the change in hormones.

I am getting really worried now.

Don't know if this is contributing to the spotting but I found my dad dead on  his dining room floor on  22nd December 2025. I have been an emotional wreck since. I am currently signed off work due to bereavement. I only buried my dad on 13th January. I can't stop crying.

Anyone else has any issues when changing HRT

Thanks xx

I am so sorry for what happened with your dad, that's an awful thing for anyone to go through.

But please do not worry about the unpredictable bleeding following a change in hormone therapy.

This is a normal response to fluctuations in hormones and an extremely common experience following a change in treatment.

It doesn't require medical attention unless there is persistent irregular bleeding more than 6 months after changing HRT.

Untreated women also frequently experience menstrual irregularity in perimenopause anyway.

Look after yourself and focus on what's important to you.
