Just following up on my previous post about my experience so far with vaginal atrophy I wanted to share this article as it was helpful in me realising what I was going through was a real condition and I wasn’t being dramatic. Great to see this spoken about now more freely in the media. Dr Amir Khan keeps popping up on my Instagram feed speaking about GSM and treatments available, never heard of him before but he's a blessing.
Five years ago when first diagnosed not one nurse at my surgery had a clue about this awful condition and at 70 it came as a shock that no one had ever mentioned it to me before. I'm glad things are changing for the better and women are becoming more vocal about it.
