Title: High anxiety & panic before period, during and after period
Post by: Clairebear587 on November 16, 2025, 08:13:36 PM
Hi ladies
So I'm finding I'm getting dizzy, anxiety day before period then panic attacks & anxiety feeling during but notice bad when ends also..
Ive tried the estrogen part of hrt 3 times but find the feelings even more intense like the estrogen ramps it up. Do you think maybe i need progesterone only? I'm 44. My periods are regular but sometimes now around 3 days earlier than a usual 28 day cycle. There slightly heavier but shorter. No hot flushes. Anxiety just awful & constantly verges of panic & dizzy

Why are you having periods at all if you don't want to?

We have had the tools to get rid of them since around 1965.

At 44 you could take a combined oral contraceptive pill (or patch or ring) continuously like I do and not bleed at all, with nice stable hormone levels every day.

I take Zoely and can highly expect it.

I am assuming you have been checked out re blood pressure, anaemia, thyroid etc. and have no other problems.
