Hi ive just joined, im 47 and in perimenopause. In on oral oestrogen 2mg. Just went up to 2 mg 3 weeks ago. I feel really low, ive got ocd and perimenopause has really exacerbated it. Can i ask if anyone else is on oral oestrogen and if it made them feel better.

Hi Daisy2. Sorry to hear you are feeling low. It can take some time to find the right hrt so don't despair. Quite often it is the progesterone element that can cause low mood and pmt type symptoms. Which hrt are you on?

:welcomemm:  OCD can become troublesome during peri-menopause, those years leading up the final period = menopause.

What are your periods up to?  Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use to chart progress and to know that we do have 'better' days.

How is your diet?  Eating little and often can help by keeping energy levels even to avoid that sudden dip = anxiety surges.

Who is over seeing your regime?
