Title: Breast Tenderness
Post by: Cassie on November 06, 2025, 05:53:30 PM
Does anyone else suffer with tender breasts whilst using Utrogestan. I find it worse when I am having the withdrawal bleed and cannot figure out if its that or the Utrogestan.

I’ve only been on HRT for two months. I have a 0.5g estradiol gel sachet every day, and 200mg of Progesterone for 14 days.
The first month, I had a bleed on the second day after the Progesterone withdrawal. The bleed lasted for 3 days, then barely anything for a couple of days after that.
But this month, this is the fourth day since I’ve been off the progesterone, and no sign of a bleed so far.

It could be that your estrogen dose is too low to get a bleed every month.

I get sore breasts every time I start a new progestogen. I did get them on utrogestan too. I’ve mainly tried continuous progesterone/progestin and then the soreness usually goes away after about 3 weeks I think.

(I’m progesterone intolerant, so tried a few different ones, I’m now 2 weeks on dienogest and still have slightly sore breasts, but the first week was much worse.)
