Morning
So I have been on Estriol 0.01 for some time + all good. Long story but was discovered I have endometrial hyperplasia with atypia (not cancer but pre cancerous overgrowth of cells) I have to get hysterectomy but probably not till next year now due to waiting list. I have started progesterone till op but NO vaginal estrogen allowed. I have trying to get a vaginal moisturizer to help but as you all know nothing is as good as the estrogen. 🙈
Do you ladies have a suggestion as to how I can get comfortable again ? Thanks Xx

It is very unlikely that vaginal estrogen would cause cancer to develop between now and then.
You say you have started progesterone - I would actually use a progestin in this situation.
If you are going to be waiting months a mirena IUS could be considered.
This is actually being used as a treatment for endometrial hyperplasia.
I personally wouldn't have any concerns about using vaginal estrogen with an IUS in this situation.
Your cell changes have been picked up now and there is no danger of you falling through the net.
Alternatively there is oral ospemiphene, a SERM that can be used to treat VA. This can be harder to access and I don't know if it is available on the NHS but worth looking into if you are interested.

Thanks for your reply+comments. Was the consultant at hosp who said not to use vaginal estrogen+ only other alternative was moisturizers. To be fair I don't think he thought would be too long a wait. Like you I didn't think the vaginal estrogen would make much a difference but not sure my GP will continue to prescribe it now. Appreciate your help Xx
