Title: Lenzetto - feeling I get too much when starting a new pump
Post by: Linnyjane on November 04, 2025, 10:34:10 AM
Hi all
I am post menopausal and started lenzetto pump this time last year, and gradually increased up to 3 pumps a day, which I split
with 2 pumps in the morning and 1 pump early evening, as I find I have side effects if I have 3 pumps all together. I also take 100 mg progesterone at bedtime.

I don't know if I'm imagining this but it seems that when I start a new pump I feel I am 'getting too much' ie I get a jittery feeling, increase in anxiety, a bit more muddled.

Is it possible to be getting increase in dose at the start and as the pump runs lower the dose decreases?
TIA

The manufacturers would say no but I think it's plausible given that many products deteriorate after the airtight seal is broken and/or are harder to expel from the dispenser when they get near the bottom.

Oral estradiol tablets or patches can give more stable levels, however patches also release progressively less on the third day Vs the first.

My experience has been similar that the later doses are smaller than the first.

For me though, I’ve tried patches, oral, lenzetto and gel, lenzetto gives by far the most stable delivery, I think it has to do with the way it’s absorbed. (Patches are very uneven for me, that might be my skin reaction. I seem to metabolize oral way too fast, so that is the worst delivery for me. The gel, I’m using now, I’m experimenting with applying the 3 pumps seperately, because I get a bit jittery when I do 2 pumps at once. I’m extremely sensitive to fluctuations)

Lenzetto’s only downside for me (besides that it was too low at the end) is the exact amount per spray seems different at the beginning and the end. I used my old container to give me a bit more in the second half of the new container. You could try something similar and use the old one for your third spray in the first week. There are a lot of partial sprays left after the 56 doses in my experience

I understand totally.
I have been on Lenzetto spray for about 20 months. 2 x sprays at night.
I too have felt glittery and anxious - I now apply lunch time. Its a bit better.

When I am on the last few pumps - I noticed a reduction in amount per spray.

I order my repeat prescriptions via NHS app - I lifted a typed note explaining this to GP.
It was ignored.

It definitely makes a difference with my anxiety and mood when applying these limited and incorrect amounts.

I think to use example, 40 sprays per bottle may help? What do you think?

X

I found this gives an inconsistent spray its not always a full dose
