Title: YES Products - which one is best?
Post by: Snowcat on October 24, 2025, 04:34:14 PM
Hi everyone.  I am slowly recovering from vulval atrophy which I’m very thankful for - at the moment I’m on Estraderm 75 patches, vagifem & estrogen cream plus hydromol for 2 small areas of lichen sclerosus.

I want to use a moisturiser instread of the hydromol if possible but only for the outside ‘bits’ as the vagifem is doing a great job on its own.  I contacted YES and they recommended their coco moisturiser which comes with applicators, however I’m not wanting to use it internally.  Has anyone used the YES coco moisturiser on the external vulval area and was it helpful please? I’m not sure whether to try that or the  YES VM. They said it’s more nourishing but being an oil it won’t be PH balanced and I do keep getting thrush …

Any help much appreciated!

The only advice I can offer is that I use YesVM and I am not sure I would want to use an oil based product as it might not let the oestrogen absorb efficiently.
Not an easy question to answer as we all react differently to products for such a delicate area.

Ask YES to send you samples Snowcat.

I think YES vm you can get on prescription but someone may correct me on that.
If you get free prescriptions one way of trying it.

I have used yes VM for a few years now and I have never had any issues with it - I just buy mine from Amazon

Thanks everyone for your helpful replies.  I looked at the coco ones and they’re very expensive so I think I’ll stick to the YES VM - I agree with you Ayesha - I was also worried about absorbtion of the estrogen cream if using oil based products…
