Been on Evorel Conti a month now, started to bleed which I knew could happen and hopefully settle
But…. The vulva itching is driving me mad, vagisil did Not work so gp prescribed estriol internally and externally - is slightly better but feel I need something alongside - would something like YES or Sylk help or something else magical…….

Only the oestrogen will help, the moisturisers are just that, they keep the area moist.
It can take a while for the treatment to work, its not a quick fix and patience is needed.

ok thank you, the itch is unbearable :(
I was hoping for something alongside the Estriol

Am assuming Thrush and any other causes of vulval itching have been ruled out?
I am guessing you are on the 0.1% estriol cream, which seems to be the standard issue in the NHS. There is another estriol cream available - 0.01% - which gives the same amount of estriol but with a much bigger quantity of cream. The cream is made by a different manufacturer and is very different to the 0.1% variety, containing peanut oil and glycerin, which may be more soothing to the skin. I couldn't tolerate the 0.1% stuff - it burned me - but I love this.
The GP will probably want you to stay on your current regime for a while longer to see if gets better, but if it doesn't improve, it is something else you can ask to try. It's more expensive for them to provide though, so you may have to make a case for trying it.

I would ask sooner or later for something that works. Vagifem and/or estriol are other forms of VA treatment can ease symptoms. The important issue is to use every night for 2-3 weeks along with a moisturiser. Yes VM helps some. I use KY jelly or a smear of estriol on the outer labia when necessary.
