Hello, been a while since I’ve been here……hoping someone might be able to help.
I’ll try and be brief. I’ve been using vaginal estrogen for a few years. Went for routine smear test today. The nurse was concerned at what she described as a wide, ectropian cervix with ulcerated and irregular edges!! Now she told me not to worry, but said she was referring me for an urgent colposcopy, and wasn’t doing the smear today until I’d seen a consultant at the hospital. Obviously I’m very worried though.
A little confused also, as I’ve since found out it’s linked to high estrogen. I’m so confused.

:bighug: of course this is worrying. How long will U need to wait for the appt and would U be able to take a short notice call if some1 cancelled? If so let the dept know as it may be quicker.
R your VA symptoms under control?

:) Good morning CLKD, I don’t think I’ll be waiting long. It’s an urgent referral, so I’m thinking within a couple of weeks.
The VA symptoms are a bit up and down. Absolutely fine for weeks sometimes, but then problematic again. But I thought that was normal. I am in pain down (or rather, up there), but also put that down to the VA too.
