Title: Advice/similar stories for Elleste Duet 1mg
Post by: H6891 on October 14, 2025, 04:46:53 PM
Hi, I've been on Elleste duet 1mg for nearly 2 months, had anyone else been on this?
The first 2 weeks of just the oestrogen tablets were great, I felt the anxiety start to lesson and then the tablets changed and my anxiety took a nose dive. I thought when I changed back to just the oestrogen I would feel better again but no, it was obviously just a blip/coincidence.

They've also given me nausea, like morning sickness nearly every day which has messed with my appetite.

I was also given estriol for dryness (mainly externally) but I'm not seeing much relief from this either.

Can anyone give me some hope? I don't know whether to stick it out until I've done 3 months and go back to the doctors like they suggested or whether I need to go back sooner?

I go on holiday at the end of the month and I was really looking forward to it but as it gets closer and my anxiety gets worse I'm just dreading it now, which isn't fair on my husband and daughter.

I just feel so miserable all the time. If I look at what I was like this time 18 months ago I don't feel like the same person. I'm not sleeping well either which obviously doesn't help but I just don't know what to do.

I've also been having CBT since the summer but I'm not sure it's helping much.

Thanks in advance for any stories/advice/rants 😊

VA - treatment may take a few weeks/months to begin to work, externally or internally.  The idea being to insert into the vagina every night for 2-3 weeks - vagifem internally and a small smear of 'estriol' around the vulval area.  I also use KY Jelly ..........

Many have problems with the progesterone part of a regime.

I can't remember from your other thread which symptom U were hoping to ease first?

Hi, it was the anxiety mainly I need help with ,though I have a whole host of other symptoms. I took the Louise newsom questionnaire to the drs so there was no quibbling with what I was feeling!

I've tried anti depressants and anti anxiety meds but they messed with my OAB.

I'll keep going with the cream, I've been doing an extra night if I feel like I need it.

Thanks x

What's OAB?

It's a bit Trial and Error with VA treatment sometimes I've had to add an 'extra' mid afternoon .........

Sorry! It's overactive bladder. Think that's anxiety related too 😞🫣
