Title: Synd versus Cerazette - Synd info too
Post by: Vicky81 on October 13, 2025, 06:19:14 AM
Morning all ....not in a good place missing my partner (the one that passed a few weeks ago) he was there and understood about all this peri stuff I woke up crying . I am talking to a counsellor.

Anyway I'm sorry if I'm repeating please be kind which u always are , I'm so lucky as I've been on other sites fir b12 and duloxetine and they can be very nasty.

Anyway I'm on my bleed at the mo,n feeling more anxiety and crying more which hs normal. I'm just in a conundrum as to what progesterone only pill to go for after bleed.
Mary G been brill sith the advice about cerazette which I do have here, I also have Slynd which I'm more leaning towards....il tell u the reason....I'm going through a withdrawal from an antidepressant and certain brands don't agree with me. Even b12 at high levels....
I'm on an American forum for withdrawal which is brilliant they've really guided me ...telling me some OTC stuff will not agree so just trial and error.
I'm more towards Slynd as it's got the same progesterone in it as yasmin combined pill and I was on yasmin for years .....never an issue until I've recently learned that my SHGB has gone high and a Dr at work said thres your problem....it's the combined pill znd it's binding your estrogen from this yasmin along with testosterone.  You need to stop yasmin.
I told my GP about my findings as he was right it's all over the Internet pages that the combined pill us estrogen too high (I have the patch on too) raises SHGB resulting in fatigue ....haur loss and it binds the pill and estrogen from the yasmin to it notcallowing it to free flow roubd the body....I've been complaining about my fatigue fie weeks they never sat down with me looking at my blood count to say this is what it coukd be vicky stop the yasmin....I had to tell them!!!! My new partner went crazy.
So now I have to wait for this number to come down hopefully taking away most of the fatigue.
So going back to Slynd ....it says about it ....it's the newest smartest progesterone and it only needs to be 4mg as it contains higher this or thst ....don't ask me the ingredients lo I'm no expert.
So yesterday I called the company thinking il leave an answer msg with it being Sunday but a lady answered but she was on a canal boat! Having family time I apologised but she was lovely told me to put all my questions in a text as she gave me her number and today she'll call me to tell me all about the Synd .....I wanted to know for definite that it does suppress ovaries I explained I'm in peri and it's very important tgat this pill can do this ....and stop ovulation which it does say it does stop ovu every web page you look at about it (dlse I'm thinking why would they make it?)
So I need some nice words as I love it on here yiure all so kind to me , and reassurance really ...do you back me trying it or am I setting myself up to fail and feel worse?
Once the lady gets back I can put on here what she told me ....but I wanted to see what your thoughts were ...
Thank you so much for reading sorry it's long I'm just very down and want to be at ease knowing what I'm going yo be taking will stop thsse horrid fluctuations xxxx
Lots of love to you all always ❤️

Update- the rep called me and assured me Synd "inhibits ovulation "  I saud so in idiot speak it wil stop my ovaries from working and not have a period and no ovulation....she saud yes that's what it's designed for and it's been made only 4mg but it's got strong components with less side effects that's what the makers had in mind when creating it.
What's your thoughts ladies please? I hope I get some replies xxxx

I checked my blood tests results from 2013 when I was using oral Angeliq which contains Slynd and yes, it does suppress FSH and LH.

I've lost track of what you are using at the moment and I can't remember if you have already tried Slynd.  I found it reasonably OK but it didn't help my migraine suras as much as Cerazette but obviously that's not something you have to worry about.

I would say if you have tried Slynd and are happy with it stick with it otherwise try to Cerazette.
