Title: Bloating
Post by: Trixiebell on September 30, 2025, 08:22:47 PM
Hi , I’ve been on HRT nearly 4 years with ups and downs trying to find the correct balance I also use Ovestin .
However over the last week my stomach is feeling so bloated so much so that I feel I need a wee , I did have a pelvic scan a couple of weeks ago due to spotting which was fine .   I’m getting so paranoid that I’ve got a problem with my bladder
I’ve always had a bit of bloating but this is uncomfortable
Has anyone had this ?

Yep.  During my menstruating years I would get bloated in the days leading up to a bleed.

Now I've found that certain foods: hidden sugars and fats - croissants, scones, cakes - caused bloating and intense nausea. In the last 3/4 years I've had to review my whole diet which is working well.

Agree with all the food clkd mentioned, have you tried going gluten free for a few weeks? This helped with my bloat when I hit menopause and have been gf ever since. Foods we could once tolerate pre meno sadly cannot be tolerated as we hit menopause.
