I am, on the advice of the menopause specialist I saw, continuing on daily estradiol topical oestrogen pessaries until later this week when I hope to get an appointment at my GP surgery. It has definitely improved my urinary symptoms; I no longer have that urgency feeling and can sleep through the night. It's not perfect but much better. I have received the copy of the letter in which the specialist recommended this approach but obviously don't know how this will all be received by the GP- will let you know!!
My problem is that the soreness and itching around the outside and just inside the vagina is no better and is possibly even worse. That may be because other stuff has improved I am noticing it more but I don't think so. I use a very small amount of estriol 1mg cream in this area every night which feels ok and generally doesn't cause problem overnight but as the day goes on it becomes sore and itchy again.
I have tried Yes moisturiser, vagisil ProHydrate (external only) and coconut oil which all soothe initially but don't last long at all and might even be making it worse.
What is happening to me? Feeling fed up!

MayB try KY jelly in the day B4 it gets itchy .. ..

Could it be another/separate issue causing these itchy and sore symptoms, eg thrush or lichen sclerosus?
