I’m on evorel sequi patches and i want to do a trial of evorel conti without involving my gp to start with as last time i tried a different conti hrt it didn’t suit me and then it was a pain to try and get changed back to sequi.
I thought this time i would try half patches on the conti regime….so, can i use the four conti patches from my sequi regime and just cut them in half? I thought, this way, I could start on a low dose and also I wouldn’t use up my usual prescription any faster than normal, if that makes sense.

Hi the problem with halving the patches is that you will be halving the oestrogen which may not suit you.

Hi Dotty, thanks for your reply. The half patches would just be temporary…building up to full conti patches, trying to avoid problems previously experienced.

Even if it’s a trial period your oestrogen will drop and possibly give you symptoms.
Are you using full patches of Everol Sequi at the moment ?

Understood. It’s a risk i’m willing to take to try to move over to the conti regime again. Yes I’m using a full patch of sequi at the moment. My question was really about whether I could use the conti patches only from the sequi packet to do a trial of the conti regime.
