Now am I being a humbug by saying that the 29th of August is just ridiculously early for shops to be stocking Halloween stuff and today well known stores are filling their shelves with Christmas items..I mean I love Christmas but to start it August takes the magic out of it somewhat... ::)

I agree. I heard a phrase the other day, "the Christmas Grinch", and I suppose that's me. I like to see the decorations at the right time of the year, but when you see them almost year round it becomes normal and takes the magic away :'(

Grinch 2 here ;D and we have a large bag of Humbugs to. hand out to those Jolly Folk who might mention the Chmas word :D
What bothers me is how much Halloween stuff and decorations goes into Landfill >:(

Agree. We've had 2 (fake) trees in the last 30+ years, and only got the second when the first fell apart. I don't understand people who buy new trees and decorations every year, but there seems to be a need to have pink "decor" one year then blue the next SMH!

Yep, I saw today.
Went shopping and most of the shelves were nearly empty, we wondered why, now it makes sense, they’re making way for Xmas goods.
Maybe they’re doing it early so people can get organised earlier what with the prices going up by the time we get to Xmas. 🤷🏼♀️

Every year it drives me up the wall, I even start avoiding supermarkets, because it’s not super. It’s rushing our time along for us and anything appropriate to the season is gone by the time that season arrives. I want to scream and stamp my feet and turn into the Incredible Hulk whenever I see it. Fume!
