How long should changing to 200mg Utrogestan continuously stop my cycle, if it's going to?
Been told to up my 100mg Utrogestan to 200mg Utrogestan due to my Wegovy use. It however states continuous use yet the info states only for 4 weeks after staring Wegovy or upping a dose - neither of which apply to me. I am not happy about that. I want to keep progesterone intake to a minimum if I can. Have agreed to trial an increase to 200mg to see if it stops me 'bleeding'
I am willing to up the Utrogestan as directed, not because of my Wegovy use but to see if it stops my periods, the continuous 100mg was supposed to stop my bleeding but as I am having my own cycle it hasn't.
(('m 61 still having regular periods but my doctors will NOT consider acknowledging as such... long story... other threads posted, previous good scan etc )
I have a scan in 2 weeks. Wondering if the 200 mg will have stopped my cycle, thinned my lining in that timer?

Hi if your bleeding is due to hrt and a thickened endometrium, then Utrogestan should stop it if you are post menopausal.
If you are still peri menopause , still having normal periods, then Utrogestan is unlikely to stop the bleeding.
