Hi all, new to the forum so apologies if I'm posting this in wrong place ::)
I've just started HRT for peri-menopause symptoms around four weeks ago. Seems to be uneventful so far although I have noticed some joint pain in shoulders, knees and wrists which I didn't have prior to starting - is this common? I'm on Oestrogel 2 pumps a day, Utrogestan 200mg for twelve days of my cycle and Eostriol cream twice a week vaginally.
I had been using the Oestrogel in the morning and Utrogestan at night but someone told me I should be using the Oestrogel at same time as the Utrogestan - is this correct? Using the gel in the morning works better for me so hoping it doesn't matter!
Does anyone know if I can delay my period for holidays/events now and then by taking the Utrogestan for longer than the 12 days? My period is really heavy and cramps are awful which means I've had to cancel a few things lately which is rotten, period can be unregular and starts a week early/late sometimes so can't plan hols/events round it either!
Thanks all :)

Hi welcome 🤗 to the forum.
It’s fine to use Oestrogel in the morning and Utrogestan at night. That’s the correct way to use it.
If you’re still having periods then it’s unlikely that Utrogestan will work to delay your period.
