Title: Cramping on patch change days
Post by: AnnieBee on August 12, 2025, 11:49:27 AM
Hello all! I’m 52 and have been on HRT for around 2 years and am fairly settled on a 75mg patch and 100 continuous Cyclogest for progesterone (prescribed privately).

I’ve been getting some occasional strong period type cramps after I change my patch - they soon pass but I wondered if anyone else gets this? I don’t have any bleeding and then all settles down again. I did read it’s normal to get cramps post menopause when not on HRT but can’t see anything about it being normal on HRT?

:welcomemm:  I suspect that it mayB that your own hormones get a boost = symptoms. Even as we age ovaries may continue to pump out a small amount of hormone  ::)

I haven't required HRT but for years after my periods disappeared I would get symptoms, "Oh no not after all these years!"  ::)
