Title: Anxiety about upping utrogestan to 2 tablets continuously
Post by: Hopeful2 on August 02, 2025, 10:14:52 AM

Hi ladies.

I've been taking Sandrena 1.5 and 1 utrogestan tablet for a quiet a while now.

Because of spotting I want to up Sandrena and therefore have to up Utrogestan to 2 tablets continuously. Does anyone else take it this way. Last time I tried to take 2 I stopped after a few days as I seemed to be bruising more easily. No scary stories please as I'm being a real baby over this. Thank you for your help.

It is difficult to see how 2 utrogestan would cause easy bruising - did you spend every luteal phase black and blue when you were menstruating?

If this is the only concern I would restart the prescribed dose.

If there is genuine progesterone intolerance and you need to take a lower dose, you can get a private scan at 6 months then every year or so thereafter to make sure your lining is controlled.
