Title: Evorel Sequi Patches Bleeding on Evorel 50
Post by: Littleoldme on July 31, 2025, 02:28:26 PM
Hi, l'm 44, had perimenopause
symptoms for a few years.

My periods have also been very
irregular for around 2 years.

I started Evorel Sequi on Friday 18th
July and now on my 4th Evorel 50 patch.

Friday I will start my first Evorel Conti for 4 weeks.

Saturday 26th, on my 3rd 50 patch, i started a very, very heavy period. Much
neavier than my normal ones.
Is this normal?

ΔΎ've heard that you would
normally get a break through period
after the Evorel Conti because of the
Progestogen as it causes shedding of
the lining of the uterus?

Sorry for the long post, and thank you
if you've managed to read to the end 😊

Hi Littleoldme, I think it's normal to experience a heavier bleed when you first start the evorel sequi patches as you're adjusting to the increased estrogen levels and your own cycle will still be adding some estrogen in the background and causing your womb lining to thicken. You maybe also had a burst of your own progesterone, which triggered the bleed.  Once the conti gets to work and your body adjusts to the new hormone levels and cycling, this should settle. It certainly did with me.
Just to add, it was probs a typo, but you should take the conti (4 patches) for 2 weeks not 4... :)
