I know this is quite strange but recently I have been having this tingle mainly in my cheeks which lasts a second or two but it’s a cold sensation.
Has anyone experienced this. Of course I am absolutely panicking that it’s the start of Trigeminal Neuralgia which I am terrified of so perhaps the anxiety about that is making it worse. I am not in actual pain it’s just an odd sensation.
I am 46 and I think I am in peri as my periods seems to be a little bit lighter and I get hot quite a lot and can barely walk outside without sweating.

U will know instantly if it's neuralgia. In the 1990s I had weeks of sudden, intense pain in the L cheek which would floor me. No medication worked, I had to ride it out.
When I had intensive oral surgery 3 years ago it triggered the nerve for 3 months but fortunately no where near as painful.
In recent months that area has niggled >:(.
I also get a strange feeling of pins and needles in both cheeks with no obvious causation.
:welcomemm: my periods waxed and waned for a few years B4 they finally disappeared = menopause. In hindsight many of my anxiety symptoms and forgetting things were peri but a) I was unaware of this stage and b) as my anxiety has been problematic since age 3, we treated it appropriately.
Some find that keeping a mood/food/sympom diary of use to chart progress.

It’s just these cold tingles in my cheeks that are freaking me out as it doesn’t feel like pins and needles and it’s the feeling that happens with the tingle. I think I have had this feeling in other parts of my body when I have had anxiety but never in my face. I have pretty much permanent anxiety.

Anxiety which needs to be addressed? How does it affect U, is there any time of day when it's worse? 4 me it's early hours and eases as the day goes on, by evening I'm a different person :-\
When my face feels odd I tap it gently to dissipate the sensations.

How have the symptoms been?
When mine niggle I tap the area gently. I can't describe it: pins and needles, numbness ........ altered sensation I suppose is the nearest.
