Hi I am on the Sandoz brand Estradiol patch and i am starting to develop a rash with bumps under the patch. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this with this brand and if you are or have how did you deal with it? What did you switch to and did it help?
I've read switching brands of patches might help, have you tried this?
I've been considering topical gel but my insurance may not cover it. My doctor is suggesting a pill/tablet format but I'd really rather not take it in pill format

Best to change brands. I developed an allergy to everol patches which was just as you describe but I'm OK with gel, ertradot, femseven and estraderm. If you don't want oral there are other patches you can try.

Deedle - hi yes I can totally relate to what you say. I have been on Estradot patches for two years and they were then being made by Novartis. My latest batch are made by Sandoz and they are causing skin rash soreness and inflammation plus my symptoms are coming back. They have most definitely changed. I have written to Sandoz and they replied they are manufactured exactly the same as they were. hmmmmmm. I have also reported my issues on the yellow card. There are a lot of reports online of other women finding exactly the same issues with the Sandoz patch. I am gutted as the original ones worked so well for me having been swapped around so much with different HRT due to the shortages. My Meno cons has advised me to go on to Lenzetto spray. x
