Hi all
I am on 50 estradoit patch and have been for some time reduced down from 75 since January mainly due to my progesterone intolerance. I have had very little progesterone in last year since starting hrt and am about to start Slynd. For the last week however I have had excessive amounts of discharge- it’s very distinctive like ovulation discharge- thick stringy like egg white- exactly like when I used to ovulate. But it’s been almost every day for a week and lots of it. I have not had a natural period for a year now only progesterone induced bleeds from a small amount of cyclogest. I have also got very sore nipples. Does anyone have any idea what is going on ? I am concerned that maybe I’m going to have a natural period but still seems excessive if I am and not sure what to do about starting Slynd if I am. Can’t get a call with the specialist GP for a week. I have had scans and end was 6.5mm on 3rd May last one.
Thanks all for any advice xx

Hormones. Your ovaries may be having a party at your expense = pre-menstrual symptoms. U may however not develop a period. Years after I stopped menstruating I would get cyclical symptoms and think "Not after all this time!" but nowt showed ::)
Wait and watch. Get this hormonal burst out of the way then begin the Slynd?

Thanks so much CK- it’s a total mystery - could understand one day but so much for a few days is worrying me somewhat - feels like too much estrogen but who knows - just worry about impact on my MH if in for a ride when thought things were settling x

Blips can be concerning! We tend to hinge on the what ifs rather than listening to what our bodies are actually up to!
If this discharge is 'normal for you' then wait and watch. It may be owt or nowt, may develop a light period which doesn't last. Do U keep a mood/food/symptom diary?

Most likely your own hormones. Although they take a year without periods as being meno some women do bleed after this, either once or several times. Even after meno your ovaries continue to do 'somethong'. I wouldn't worry about but if you think oestrogen is too high long term you could cut a piece of the patch. If you're pretty sure a period is coming soon you could hold off the slynd then you know you're starting with a thin lining but given that it's already on the thick side I wouldn't hold off too long.

Thanks so much Shelia - yes I’m worried about the thickness and just not sure whether to wait to see if I have natural period first - it would be so typical ! Hoping for smooth transition onto Slynd too - it’s been a year of hell tbh
