Title: Clothing advice required
Post by: CLKD on June 30, 2025, 12:01:14 PM
I rarely wear skirts because I HATE the inner thighs sticking together.  How do others manage?  I'm off to find skirts from the back of the cupboard later, will spread talc on the difficult areas hoping that it doesn't show when I'm walking into the village to meet people soon.

Tights - NOPE!  Never.  No way!

Pantaloons?  :) (I never wear them so don't have a sensible suggestion)

Might look a little strange, long Johns go down to the ankle. I have merino long johns I wear in winter - lovely and snug but definitely not for public display  :o

Some women wear cycle shorts, but I find talc does the trick.
OR
Walk like youve just got off a cycle. That would look interesting . 🤣😂

Any serious answers coming?  ;D

My daughter just bought a very sheer pair of long knickers in nude from Amazon to wear under her prom dress.

They are like a really thin pair of cycling shorts.

I remember my grandmother wearing bloomers, and also a slip, under a skirt. These days you can get the thin cycle shorts type of pants to stop what I seem to recall seeing described as "chub rub" (don't shoot the messenger!!)

Morning all.  Sitting here with very little apparel on  :-X

DH has cycling shorts, they are thick with a padded bum ...... and not the kind of material that I would want near *my* skin  :-\

I remember Paternal Grandad's long-johns hanging on the line ...... over the years they became grey  :-\

Cotton cycling shorts (mid-thigh length rather than down to your knees).  They keep you cool and stop the rubbing  ;)

I had nearly constant chub rub on hols got a rash so did my daughter. Since I’ve been home the longer version magic knicker has sufficed, although they constantly roll up the thigh like a sausage! I spend the entire day unrolling the things. Even the life hacks need life hacks!
