Hi ladies
In a few weeks I have to go and repeat my kidney function blood test. It's put me in a bit of an anxious state. I have swelling on my feet but had that for years (8) and always told it was beta blockers doing that and nothing to worry about. All blood tests prior to the pandemic were normal.
I was really dehydrated on the day of my test and it was a hot day, there had been a lot of work stress and I hadn't eaten or drunk anything and it was 3pm. Could that throw a test off?
Anyone else had to have repeat kidney function tests? I'm very anxious and can't speak to a gp. Thanks for listening.

MayB ring the Dept where U will have the blood test and ask the question. I think that dehydration may well cause lots of anomalies.

I spoke to a doctor and they said, while not knowing my test result, dehydration may well have affected the result. Thanks CLKD for your response :)
