My periods have been almost non existent the past few months. I didn’t have one for 8 months then I had one now almost 4 weeks later another.
I cannot use tampons due to vaginal atrophy so I use organic pads. I really want to be able to go swimming but I’m flying out in the morning. Is there any solution to this that can be purchased from the airport???
I honestly wish my periods would just p off for good now!

Can u get to an argos? If so, check yr store have in stock and click and collect, they do period bikini bottoms.
Not sure if boots do, or if theres one at the airport, do swimming period liners, amazon do but obviously it's too late to get from there.

Ah thanks for that. That would’ve been a good shout but I checked online and the earliest you could collect was tomorrow.
I contemplated a mooncup but knowing my luck it will get lost in my vagina and I’ll end up in a&e 😂😂.

I didn't know they existed! Can the sharks still smell blood?

If you put loads of moisturisor on the tampons it helps if you just need them whilst swimming.

Can you get the period knickers from wherever you are flying to? I’m sure pharmacies would sell them depending on where you are. If they are waterproof enough to absorb a period they should be fine in the pool etc x

I can't see how period swimwear is hygienic for other swimmers, however on balance there is probably worse stuff in a hotel pool.
More generally, I get that some people don't want or cannot take systemic hormone therapy but why would you go untreated for VA? You might be able to buy some estrogen cream or pessaries from the airport pharmacy, but they wouldn't work that quickly.

I don't agree with swimming during a period unless at the end :-\. MayB the question should have been asked earlier - would there be a pharmacy at the airport where U could have a lookC ?
Bella: R U using appropriate VA treatment ? because chlorine or salt water swimming may make the condition feel worse :(.

lol I used to scuba dive and always had my period when we went! According to articles no…. And was never bothered by them 😁
But apparently seals can get rather frisky with menstruating women divers. I think on the whole it’s fine 🤣
