Hi Ladies
Just wondering if there is one HRT that helps with joint pains
So if you had this complaint and now taking HRT and it’s helped a lot
Which HRT was it ?
Please spend me a minute of your time
Thanks all

My hip pain went when I started hrt. It makes no difference which hrt as long as you have sufficient oestrogen. Whether yours goes depends on the cause, hrt is only going to cure low oestrogen symptoms, it isn't going to cure arthritis.

As oestrogen levels drop muscles may become lax = aches and pains. Over the counter pain relief can help as can HRT ..... as well as the loss can cause the body to become dry, inside and out.
I also have sciatica due to not kneeling when loading the dishwasher. Add to that bursitis in both hips and deep pains in the thighs due to leaning over low cabinets at antique fairs. Sitting lazily and bad foot wear also causes the body to compensate = aches and pains.

Yes, HRT took away O A pain once got to sufficient oestrogen dose

I'm on continuous, gel and Mirena. My aching feet and hands stopped hurting after a few months on HRT. :)

I began to get joint pain for the first time in my life when I stopped the Yasmin combined pill; I assume (though cannot prove) I went through menopause while I was on Yasmin.
I attributed the joint pain to water retention (Yasmin contains a diuretic). The joint pain did improve with exercise and magnesium supplementation but I was always aware of my joints.
I then started Elleste Duet Conti, which didn't help much with anything.
I then switched to Oestrogel (2 pumps) + cyclical Utrogestan and I cannot remember any particular joint pain while I was on it, *unless* I didn't exercise daily. I was still retaining water, albeit a bit less.
I consulted a specialist to see what could be improved. They told me to increase to 3 pumps of Oestrogel and continuous Utrogestan. This put my water retention right back to square one, and made my joints ache like crazy. This seems to confirm my interpretation that it was the water causing the joint pain. I went back to my previous dosage and my symptoms went back to how they were before.
I then dropped the Utrogestan in favour of continuous Slynd, which has the same ingredients as Yasmin. This has solved everything. I definitely don't have any joint pain and I don't have that thing where I'm aware of my joints either.
Now mind you, as I said, I never in my life had joint pain before, so in my case the cause of the joint pain had to be hormonal, therefore it's logical that (the right) hormone treatment would fix it.

Mine is worse, but in fairness I have osteo and imflammatory arthritis from my neck to my feet. Although I have been on hrt for 8 years the arthritis went into my knees and feet about 4 years ago.

I hope my tennis elbow goes away.
I am currently titrating my HRT upwards as I have not found the correct dose for me due to low absorption of patches, even though they stick so well, it's like they are welded on.
It came last month, which is odd, as I never had joint pain and I have had hormone issues in my life for 16 years. I use evorel, 175mcg.
