Title: oil in urine when taking Uterogestan
Post by: Susie B on June 02, 2025, 08:46:05 PM
I have noticed a sort of oily film floating on top of my urine in the toilet and what looks like tiny oil bubbles in the last few days. Don't ask me how I noticed it, I just happened to as the light in the downstairs bathroom is very bright and sort of reflected off it! Since noticing I keep looking and it seems to be there each time I wee. I am inserting Uterogestan vaginally at the moment- has anyone else noticed it causing this?

How do U feel overall?  It could be some of the product seeping out?

I feel fine, it's just a bit disconcerting...

If you're using it vaginally I would think it's residue which comes out when you urinate. It does mention oily discharge as a side effect https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/3244/pil#gref.  Hope this helps.

If that's all you've got coming out when using utrogestan vaginally, I think you're lucky  ;D
