Title: High oestrogen on a low patch
Post by: perimeno on April 28, 2025, 03:33:45 PM
For some reason my oestrogen levels were 1100 on a 25mcg evorel patch, so I was told I should stop my hrt for 6 weeks and retest.
I don’t take progesterone as had a hysterectomy years ago, I’m on estriol 1mg cream and I started taking testosterone a few weeks prior to checking my O levels.

In January I had been struggling to get my levels above 90 so it’s all very strange.

Why would my levels be so high on a 25mcg evorel patch?

I have been off the oestrogen for 3 weeks now and my main symptom is related to GSM and dryness.

Is there anything else which can help GSM and vaginal dryness (apart from lubricants, estriol cream/vagifem/vagirux? I’m not sure if I want to go back on the hrt.

Thanks

Is it possible the sample was contaminated? Are you peri and your oestrogen could have spiked? It seems extraordinarily high from a 25 patch. How often do use the estriol cream? Presumably you use it inside?

My first test showed 500 then I was asked to have another a week later which showed the 1100. Perhaps my ovaries kicked in. Im waiting until the 6 week mark to check my FSH, that should show if Im peri or post. im using the estriol cream daily and have been for the past 2 years, my levels haven't been affected previously whilst taking this.  I will see what happens in 2 weeks time when retesting.

I was also wondering what other options there are for the dryness, apart from vagifem and vagirux?
