Hi Che,
Lots of people get on well with Utrogestan (200 mg) but I didn’t (progesterone intolerant) even on 100 mg systemically (vaginally at night).
I felt very sad, angry, stressed and low on it.
I take 7 days of Provera which is a very very low dose and not recomended but after much trial and error it is manageable (with scans).
Why do you need more progesterone?
Doesn’t the conti have a steady low dose?
I hope someone else will be along soon with their thoughts xx

Utrogestan is the only one that's body identical and is most commonly used. If you don't get on with that there are others - see the Treatments tab from the Menu.

You could take desogestrel 150mcg daily, or Slynd, or oral norethisterone 1mg (you may have to approximate this with smaller tablets) alongside an estradiol alone product, or try tibolone instead.
Provera has a slightly less favourable metabolic profile than the others but still absolutely remains an option if others fail.
Evorel conti does generally contain sufficient progestin to oppose that dose of estrogen - if it didn't then large numbers of women would be at risk of endometrial hyperplasia.
Manufacturers of combination products are very conservative and use the amount of progestin that has been shown to be adequate for even the most high risk women.
What is the reason you feel you need additional progestogen?
