Hello everyone, I've been on Evorel Conti patches for a around 18 months and I'm still having staining every other day. In Jan I was sent for an internal ultrasound to check everything was ok and it is. Last year I was halving the patches and that stopped the staining. The GP however advised me to use the full patch to get the benefit of it, as per the advice from the hospital. My question is, is anyone else experiencing this regular staining and does it eventually stop? It's happening every other day and it's annoying!

You shouldn't get bleeding after 3-6 months on a conti regime. We're you meno (1 year without a bleed) before you went on hrt? If not you may be better with a sequi regime where you have a scheduled bleed. If you were meno you need more progestogen than most, the easiest way is to use oestrogen only patches alongside a separate progestogen, usually Utrogestan. This way use as much oestrogen as you need to control your symptoms and you can increase the progestogen enough to stop bleeding.
