Found this site today and want to say how good it is to hear that I'm not the only one suffering with these issues.

I'm 53 and post menopausal, last period was 923 days ago!

I thought I was doing ok but the last week or so my mood has been low and I'm so tired. I have dizziness and a feeling of dread hanging over me all the time. My weight has gone up which makes me feel like a fat frump! Anxiety is playing its part as well  :(

I've been on citalophram since 2011 after the death of my mum and i've been told that should help with menopause symptoms which I'm sure it had, up until now.

I have Evorel Conti patches sitting in front of me which the doctor prescribed back in March 2024 but I'm too worried about all the side effects to start them. Do I ride these feelings out and hope they pass or do I take the plunge  :-\

Morning.

Take the plunge?  It may take a hike or several to find a dose that eases symptoms but what's to lose?  Why suffer.

It's mayB time for y our GP to do thyroid function and VitD tests as we shouldn't blame menopause for all our symptoms.  Crashing fatigue is normal for some.

Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use.   :welcomemm:

Hiya.  :welcomemm:

If it was me, I’d take the plunge.
I was scared too at first, but my side effects settled and now I’m ok. Been on and off hrt for 10 years now.
You can always stop using it if you feel worse. AND remember, there’s different hrt preparations you could try if this one doesn’t seem any good for you.
Keep a symptom diary so you can look back and even compare if and when you do change hrt in the future.

Keep asking questions, someone will always answer.
Good luck with whatever you choose. 🤞🏼
