Hi, first time here and I’m after some help pls. I’ve had my ovaries and fallopian tubes removed in September. I was using patches and progesterone pills before and still am now. I’m still bleeding due to the lining of the womb, not all the time every few weeks, comes and goes as it pleases. With the bleeds do you still get pmt symptoms? Is it normal to be so forgetful? My body aches from head to toe? I’m struggling to fine the joy in stuff. Some guidance would be appreciated thanks N

Is the bleeding cyclical? Rarely if the stump of the ovary is left there is enough to continue pumping out a small amount of hormone.
Brain fog is common as hormones rise and fall. As oestrogen levels drop off the body may become dry: inside and out; deep in the ears, nostrils, eyes, vagina, skin - as well as muscles may become lax - aches and pains.
You have been through major surgery which may well leave you feeling low, also the reasons why drastic surgical intervention was required. If U want to share, please do, also let us know how old you are.
Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use to chart progress.

Thanks for replying. I’m not sure about cyclical bleeding!
I’m 49 in a few months and carry the brac1 gene so will also have my breast removed soon too. Had the other surgery in September. Apparently unless controlled by HRT I will bleed. But I’m not sure if that means all the time or just like a normal cycle. My doctor is lovely but I feel like she doesn’t really know what she is doing and is practicing on me. Bless her

Do U mean that your GP is over-seeing your treatment?
I believe that there are Members who know more about the genetic implications than I do, hopefully they will be along.
