Title: Change in HRT - advice?
Post by: Banana11 on February 18, 2025, 05:15:03 PM
Hi,I’ve been on Everol Sequi 50 + Everol 25 for a few years.  Last few weeks has more headaches, anxiety, etc.  Been to the docs today who said to up Everol to 100 but take 100mg micronised progesterone orally.  Any advice or experience of this? Thanks x

I have no personal experience of using this regime other than having worn the patches for IVF and once during that time accidentally swallowed a utrogestan capsule which was intended for vaginal use  ;D

This is a popular combination however current guidelines recommend using 200mg micronised progesterone continuously with a 100mcg patch, in order to ensure adequate endometrial protection.

There is guidance on this on the British menopause society website.

Otherwise you are lucky to have an estrogen friendly GP - I hope your new treatment works well for you!
